A breathtaking property overlooking the Connecticut Valley, part of the subdivision of a famous estate.  The property occupies six acres with a slope differential of 100 feet from rear to the front of property.

Our inspiration from the client is a romantic, park-like atmosphere. Our client spends his work week in Manhattan then longs to escape on weekends and summers to this retreat in the countryside.

This site (as all should), is being designed by Todd Haiman Landscape Design with the utmost care and sensitivity to minimize the impact on this natural landscape – establishing an environmentally responsive design that wholly considers all sustainable methodology, practices and guidelines in keeping with the Sustainable Sites Initiative put forth by ASLA.  Our first phase was to manage the erosion and storm water runoff with geotextile fabric and dry river beds. Second phase was installing pathways to manage the steep grades. Third phase has begun with additional woody plant material.
