Garden design found in classic movies as diverse as The Sound of Music and The Shinning.
I once had a professor who could describe classic movie scenes by the surrounding plant material. (Assuming it was an exterior shot.) While I don't propose the same, our company hereby shares a few of our favorite film scenes that are garden related. Garden design ideas abound in these scenes. Please suggest a few of your favorite movie scenes in the garden, and we'll happily include it in a follow up to this posting.
From the 1965 Film of THE SOUND OF MUSIC
Look for the roof garden about 40 seconds into the trailer
The classic scene from Room with a View (1985) where George kisses Lucy in an Italian Poppy Field. The background music is the aria "Chi il Bel Sogno di Doretta" from Puccini's La Rondine.
Maybe the coolest horror movie symbol ever: the hedge maze.
